Taglines Punchlines of Retail : Answers - 3

  1. It is 'Wal-Mart'. On September 12, 2007, Walmart introduced new advertising with the tagline "Save Money Live Better", replacing the "Always Low Prices, Always" tagline, which it had used for the previous 19 years.
  2. The present tagline of the French retail giant 'Carrefour SA' is "Low in price...... but high in trust (Les prix bas....La confiance en plus" which Carrefour adopted in 2012. The earlier punchlines of the group was : "With Carrefour group i positive (Avec Carrefour je positive)" during 1988 to 2003, "Energy Wise" during 2003 to 2007, "Quality for all " during 2007 to 2009, "Positive is back (Le postitif est de retour)" during 2009 to 2010 and "Positively every day" during 2010 to 1011.
  3. "Every little Helps" is the advertising tagline of 'TESCO PLC', the British multinational grocery and general merchandise retailer. TESCO PLC is the third largest  retailer in the world measured by revenues (after Walmart and Carrefour) and the second largest measured by profits (after Walmart).
  4. "Right Store. Right Price" and "More Value for The Way You Live" are the taglines of 'The Kroger Co US'. Other previously included taglines included "Let's Go Krogering", "Your Total Value Leader", "Kroger, Where its Costs Less To Get More", "See What We're doing Today", "Feel the Difference", "Listen to the Scissors, don't you love the sound of a price coming down" and "Kroger, Count on Us".
  5. The current tagline of Home Depot is "More Saving More Doing" was introduced on March 19, 2009, replacing the earlier tagline"You can do it, We can help" which had been used since 2003. Other taglines used in the past include " The Home Depot, Low prices are just the beginning" in the early 1990s and "When you're at the Home Depot, You feel right at home" in the late 1990s and "The Home Depot; First in Home Improvement !" from 1999 to 2003. 
  6. 'Metro AG', the Dusseldorf based holding company formed through the 1996 merger of four giant German retailing groups, is one of the largest retailers of the world. It was established in 1964 by Otto Beisheim. The Metro Group entered India in 2003 with the opening of a Metro Cash & Carry wholesale store in Bangalore. In 2011 METRO Group launched its new umbrella brand communication campaign featuring the tagline "Made to Trade"
  7. "Where quality is cheaper" is the tagline of 'LIDL', one of the largest grocery retailers in Europe. 
  8. "Spend a little. Live a lot" is the advertising tagline of 'ALDI', the global discount supermarket chain, based in Germany. "Top quality at incredibly low prices", "Smarter Shopping" are other punchlines of 'ALDI'.
  9. "Expect More Pay Less" is the tagline of 'Target Corporation' the second largest discount retailer in the US after Walmart.
  10. 'Provogue', the retail group from India changed its tagline from "Redefining Fashion" to "Be the Change" in 2009.
  11. 'Kouton Retail' has the tagline "The way ahead, always". Kouton Retail started as Charlie Creations which was later rechristened as Koutons. The company owns other brands like Charlie Outlaw, Le Femme etc.
  12.  The 'Killer Jeans' brand belong to the Kewalkiran Clothing Limited group and has the tagline "Making Growth Fashionable".
  13. 'Lifestyle International (P) Ltd.', part of the Dubai based Landmark group is one of the leading retail companies in India. "Your Style. Your Store" is the tagline of Lifestyle International (P) Ltd.
  14. "International Clothing" is the tagline of 'Cantabil Retail Limited', a New Delhi based apparel manufacturer and retail discount outlet company. It markets brands under the brands "Cantabil" & "La Fanso".
