  1. “Be well” is the tagline of Merck & Co., Inc., Merck Sharp & Dohme, MSD outside the United States and Canada. In India, Fulford (India) Limited, is the subsidiary of Merck & Co. Inc. Merck operates in India via three separate entities MSD Pharmaceuticals Private Limited, Organon (India) Private Limited and Fulford (India) Limited.
  2. The tagline of GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is “Do more, feel better, live longer”. It was established in 2000 by the merger of Glaxo Wellcome plc (formed from the acquisition of Wellcome plc by Glaxo plc) and SmithKline Beecham plc (formed from the merger of Beecham plc and SmithKline Beckman Corporation, which was formed by combining the Smith Kline French and Beckman companies). GSK has a portfolio of products for major disease areas including asthma, cancer, virus control, infections, mental health, diabetes, and digestive conditions. It also has a large consumer healthcare division which produces and markets oral healthcare and nutritional products and over-the-counter medicines including Sensodyne, Boost, Horlicks, and Gaviscon.
  3. Glenmark Pharmaceuticals is headquartered in Mumbai, India. It manufactures and markets generic formulation products and active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), both in the domestic and international markets. In the formulation business, its business spans segments such as Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Gynaecology, ENT and Diabetes. It operates in 95 countries through its, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals USA, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals UK. Glenmark Pharmaceuticals SA are subsidiaries of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. The tagline goes “A new way for a new world”.
  4. The company with the tagline “We innovate healthcare” is F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. a Swiss global health-care company that operates worldwide under two divisions: Pharmaceuticals and Diagnostics.   5. “The Family Company” is the tagline of Johnson & Johnson, the American multinational medical devices, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods manufacturer founded in 1886. Johnson & Johnson's brands include numerous household names of medications and first aid supplies. Among its well-known consumer products are the Band-Aid Brand line of bandages, Tylenol medications, Johnson's baby products, Neutrogena skin and beauty products, Clean & Clear facial wash and Acuvue contact lenses.
  6. Lupin Ltd. is world's largest manufacturer of the anti-TB drugs based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The company production contains the Cardiovascular (prils and statins), Diabetology, Asthma, Pediatrics, CNS, GI, Anti-Infectives and NSAIDs therapy and world largest manufacturer of Anti-TB and Cephalosporins segments. It became the first in India to manufacture Anti-TB APIs. It is also India's fourth largest drug maker by revenue. The tagline is “Being Lupin, enriching lives everyday”.
  7. Mylan Inc. is a global generic and specialty pharmaceuticals company headquartered in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. In 2007, Mylan acquired a controlling interest in India-based Matrix Laboratories Limited, a top producer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for generic drugs, and the generics business of Germany-based Merck KGaA. Through these acquisitions, Mylan has grown from the third largest generic and pharmaceuticals company in the U.S. to the third largest generic and specialty pharmaceuticals company in the world.   8. Novartis was created in 1996 from the merger of Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz Laboratories, both Swiss companies with long histories. Ciba-Geigy was formed in 1970 by the merger of J. R. Geigy Ltd (founded in Basel in 1758) and CIBA (founded in Basel in 1859). Combining the histories of the merger partners, the company's effective history spans 250 years. Novartis International AG is a Swiss multinational pharmaceutical company based in Basel, Switzerland, ranking number two in sales (46.806 billion US$) among the world-wide industry in 2010.The tagline is “Novartis: No pipelines, just pipedreams”.
  9. Novo Nordisk has the tagline "Changing Diabetes". It manufactures and markets pharmaceutical products and services and was created in 1989 through a merger of two Danish companies dating back to the 1920s. It produces, in particular, diabetes care equipment and medications. Novo Nordisk is also involved with haemostasis management, growth hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy. Novo Nordisk is researching pulmonary delivery systems for diabetic medications, and in the early stages of research into autoimmune and chronic inflammatory diseases, using technologies such as translational immunology and monoclonal antibodies
